Yesterday was the first whole day of the conference and it was packed. It was such an incredible atmosphere to be in – wherever you look there are gifted and anointed men and women of faith. It’s just stunning. We’re getting anyone who will to pray for us! Roydon and Jan have been having a great time here and particularly in the morning session Jan got completely toasted by the Holy Spirit as God’s power poured into her. She laughed and laughed for 15 to 20 minutes as the Holy Spirit ministered to her – it was great to watch! Julian spent most of the day on the floor as God overwhelmed him again and again. We were walking through the resources centre to meet Faith, a friend of Pete Carters (a good friend from England who’s here). When we met her sitting innocently behind her book stall she shook Julian by the hand and he literally dropped to the floor as God’s power hit him. Faith them started prophesying into Julians life with great accuracy – as bystanders looked on and laughed enjoying the moment of another Holy ambush!
It’s not all drunkenness though (some of you will be pleased to hear!). We had some amazing teaching yesterday covering topics from worship to intercession to strategic planning (Roydon loved that one!) to finishing the evening with Bill speaking on taking the culture of honour to the next level.
A few profound thoughts from the day
“It’s impossible for a believer to live under a closed heaven unless you agree with the idea. Most closed heavens are between the ears. There is tremendous power in the agreement of man.”
“We have have respect for someone but it is not the same as honour – it can be dangerously close to flattery. Honour honours the spirit of God in a person.”
“When you wash a persons feet you get to understand why they walk the way they do. You start to see the reason for the limp”
“If you want to know where your church is going, ask them these 4 questions What’s the testimony that you most want to see repeated? What’s the prophecy you most want to see fulfilled? What do you love? What are you afraid of?”
“Most worship songwriters settle for self expression but the goal is communication. You are seeking to bring someone into the same encounter that you had not just tell them about the encounter you had. “
“When something negative comes up then our response should be ‘but God wants to do this’ instead of ‘oh no’. It shows that our mind has been renewed to be like His”
The evening session in particular had loads of miracles. Two or three people testified to small pea sized tumours disappearing as Bill released a word of knowledge (one lady was in the row in front of us and she had a pea sized tumour in her thigh that instantly disappeared). The best one though was a guy who stood for a word of knowledge about an ankle with a repeated injury. Bill asked him if it was better.and he lifted his leg brace into the air and then proceeded to run around the auditorium as everyone cheered!

So exciting!!
